PREVIOUS EVENTS
New Artwork for Advent
Starting Sunday, December 1st, you will notice that there is new artwork in the gathering space upstairs and in the Fellowship Hall downstairs. During the season of Advent until Epiphany, we have the opportunity to enjoy “Cityscapes” by Anastassiya (Stass) Andrianova. “Cityscapes” is a post-impressionist series of water-mixable oil paintings exploring urban environments throughout the United States.
Stass was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. She studied at CUNY in New York, New York where she earned a PhD in 19th Century British Literature and Comparative Literature. Throughout her career she has taught as an Assistant Professor of English at several institutions and taught art classes for the Creative Plains Foundation and Creatively Uncorked. She has exhibited work throughout Fargo including 8th Street Art Gallery, Flakoll Gallery, Red Raven Espresso Parlor, the Creative Plains Foundation and the Spirit Room. We are grateful to Hollie DeFrancisco from The Spirit Room for facilitating sharing “Cityscapes” with the Temple Beth El and St. Mark’s communities.

DEDICATION SUNDAY
September 8, 2019 was Dedication Sunday for St. Mark's Lutheran in our new space at Temple Beth El Synagogue (809 11th Avenue S, Fargo). The 10 a.m. worship service included special music by members of the FM Gay Men's Chorus, a welcome from Rabbi Janeen Kobrinsky, and a dedication liturgy by Rev. Jessica Harris Daum from our Synod office. Following worship, we shared all the tasty treats brought to the potluck!
